The Need For Speed Series

Anyone here play the Need For Speed games?

I've got Underground, Undercover (iPhone), Shift (iPad) and Hot Pursuit (iPad). I've completed Shift and Hot Pursuit, and I'm currently working on completing Underground.

If you don't know what the NFS series is, then I'll tell you. It's a racing game where you can customize your rides (in games like Underground), evade the police (in games like Most Wanted or Hot Pursuit), or participate in racing competitions (Shift and Shift 2).

They're pretty good games, I have to admit. Some of the best cars in the games are the Bugatti Veyron, the Acura RSX, the BMW M3 GT2, and the Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX.

DON'T FORGET BE THE POLICE! THAT'S THE BEST PART!

Sometimes, I just wish I had a 360 so I can play NFS: Hot Pursuit, or I wish that NFS: Hot Pursuit was on the Mac, or Steam for the Mac...

GASP!!! THAT WAS COOL. Also, racers, don't try running in a Subaru Impreza. Those cars are for getting groceriers, not getaways.

Apparently there's going to be a new Need For Speed game: NFS: The Run.

The storyline is that you have to race for your life through San Francisco all the way to New York. One of the confirmed checkpoints in the game is Chicago (where the E3 trailer of NFS: The Run takes place).

So far, the only known cars in the game are:

- Audi R8 Coupe 5.2 FSI Quattro
- Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake (The featured car in the E3 trailer. Apparently, mid-way through the race, while in Chicago, the car gets trashed by "The Mob", the main antagonist of the game)
- McLaren MP4-12C
- Porsche 911 GT2 (993)
- BMW M3 GTS (E92)
- Aston Martin V12 Vantage
- Dodge Challenger SRT8
- Mazda RX-7 FD3S
- Nissan Skyline GT-R (R35)
- Pagani Huayra
- Ford Taurus SHO Police Interceptor (Cop-only. As seen in the trailer, the main protagonist steals this car to temporarily replace his trashed Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake)
- Bugatti Veyron 16.4 (PS3-only)

There's also going to be some quick-time events (when you're outside of the car (this is a first in a NFS game!)) as well.

I'm hopefully looking forward to it. It's pretty much the closest thing we'll get to an Underground 3 or a Most Wanted 2.

I like Being a cop, but I think Racers are much cooler.

Basically, each of the two sides of the law in a nutshell:

Racers
Advantage:
- Customization of Vehicles

Disadvantage:
- You get in trouble with the cops

Cops
Advantage:
- You enforce the law, and that makes you a good guy

Disadvantage:
- No visual customization :c
