Metroid- Other M

Ok,I've attempted this once, but I'm going to start again. It's a really cool story, you know.

Prologue:Super Metroid

Samus(S):"Why am I still Alive?"

Samus is Facing the biggest and baddest enemy she ever faced. As she nears death, she wonders how she is still conscious..
She looks up. The Baby Metroid she had found, was now huge, and atop of her head. Samus watched as the "baby" restored Samus' energy tanks, draining its own life.

S: "The Baby...."

Mother Brain, looking angered, fires a large energy shot. Within the same second, the baby releases Samus, taking the powerful shot. The world seems to slow as samus watches in horror as the baby explodes in midair. Samus crashes to the ground,and prepares herself.

S; "Mother,....Time to Go"

Samus shoots an Incredible shot from a mysterious new weapon, as Mother brain begins to shoot another beam ....

*Everything Whites Out*

End of Prologue

Chapter One;The Signal

Samus Awoke to the familiar voice of a quarantine officer(QO).

QO:"Ok,Samus... Everything's normal."

The respirator swings away from samus' mouth.

S: "A dream-It was a dream.I had been reliving the tragic moments of my recent past. Thanks to the Hyper Beam, which was given to me somehow by the baby, I laid Mother Brain to waste.And the explosion it caused destroyed planet the rest of planet Zebes, along with the remains of Mother Brain, the Space Pirates, and my long-standing nemesis, Ridley."

"And the Baby..."

QO:Looks like you took quite a bit of damage. It's unbelievable how well you've held up after all that.

S(Mumbling to herself): "I wonder if this was also a result of the baby..."

QO: "You're due in the meeting room. The big dogs are waiting! I gave your suit a polish so you'd be at least somewhat presentable."

The Officer gives himself what seems to be a little smirk, like he had secret.

Samus heads down the hall and comes to a door. Several lasers scan her, and the door opens after confirming her identity. Samus enters the room, greeted by many lab works and such.

S:"Mission completed. The planet Zebes was annihilated... And all Metroids were exterminated."

Samus put emphasis on the "All".
The crowd cheers as Samus stands in the middle of the room, looking bored, as if the achievement means nothing to her.
*Fade Out*

Samus is Now In her gunship, a little time afterwards, just looking to be alone.

As she travels through the dark corners of space, all the monitors in her ship turn red, and an alarm sound is played. She reads the main screen;

ALERT:Distress signal intersected. Codenamed;

"Baby's Cry"

Chapter Two; The Princess

Samus Directed her ship towards the origin of the signal. A place called " The Bottle Ship" in a remote area of space.

As she nears the Bottle ship, it looks like a dark and eerie place with tons of electronic equipment, and much space debris orbiting the massive object.

Samus finds a docking bay and drives through what feels like an electronic civilization. She lands on the interior of the ship, and exits her ship. As she walks up a ramp, she sees that she isn't alone here.

A large ship is parked across from her's. She turns on her Visors "Search Mode" and looks at the label on the ship.

"Galactic Federation"

Samus then hears a large explosion in the room next door. She slowly walks through a corridor, and comes to a door...

She dashes through a tight entrance and comes into a room where several soldiers greet her, guns pointed.

One of the troopers come forward, lowering the guns of his acquaintances.
He speaks in a full voice.

?: Ah...Fancy meeting you here, Princess.

The mystery man raises his mask, revealing himself as Anthony Higgs(AH), who obviously knows samus.

AH: Remember Me?

S;"Anthony..."

Samus knew that there was only one person that calls her "Princess". And that is Anthony Higgs, of the Galactic federation.

AH: "Haven't See you since that Last Mission"

Samus Identifies a face in the squad. Adam Malkovich(AM), Samus' former superior officer.

Yes, Samus was once in the Galactic Federation...And as a result of a certain incident, Samus left Adam's side to become a solo bounty hunter.

AM: "What are you doing here?"

The first words out of his mouth were typical, coming from Adam. To answer his question, Samus recounted the details of what had brought her to this place, and then she asked what circumstances led the Federation here.

AM: "That information is Not for an outsider."

The word outsider was pushed very strongly towards samus.

Another Trooper, Lyle Smithsonian(LS), walks up to Adam.

LS:Commander,We're all prepped.

Everyone stands back as an explosive on the door detonates, but doesn't damage the door at all.

LS:Ahh. No dice! I think our only option is to use the laser to slowly burn our way through. This is gonna take a while...

AnothnyH:The electrical system here is out, and we can't get the barrier wall to open. We tried using explosives, but it's tricky to pull of without collateral damage. What we need is some way to focus the power onto one centralized location...

Samus knows what Anthony meant. She locks onto the door, and blasts a missile at the door. The door opens easily, and the next room is now accessible.

Lyle:Let's go.

All the troops leave the room.

Samus: Adam hadn't authorized it, but I decided to remain on-site for the sake of the others.

Samus travels through the Main sector of the bottle ship, and runs into many fly-like creatures, eaisily shooting them as she travels along. It appears to Samus that the power if off in the facility.

After traveling through the sector for a little while, Samus comes to a large door. As she is about to enter, a large screech is heard from the door in front of her..

Samus Walks into the Room, But nothing is wrong. The GF Troopers are all gathered around, looking at something on the ground.
They are all looking at a dead lab worker. A trooper, James Pierce, Speaks;

James:He's Dead. Someone-or something-attacked him.

The body moves, and everyone jumps back. A purple bug crawls from underneath the body. Lyle shoots the bug,screaming.

Lyle: Get Away from Me!!!!

James: Lyle,Enough!

Samus(Thinking): It was obvious that there was some pervasive danger throughout the facility. I didn't know what had brought Adam here, but I did know that cooperation was imperative if we were to restore safety.

Samus;Adam, listen to me. Clearly, this facility is in complete disorder. It might be too dangerous for your men to go alone. That's why I've—

All of a sudden, Hundreds of bugs start appearing-from every where.

James;Look at that! They're everywhere! They're coming out of the walls!

A giant Eyeball drops to the floor. The bugs surround the eye, forming a huge creature with one, massive leg, a Pentagon-shaped torso, two long arms, and an eye in the center of the torso.

Adam;Open Fire!!

One of the Giant arms whips towards Samus. Samus swiftly flips out of the way, just missing the arm.

The shots of the troopers seems to be doing nothing...

Anthony; This Ain't good! Nothings Working!

Adam; Listen Up! Freeze guns authorized!

The troopers swiftly swap out their guns, attacking the creature again within 2 seconds.

Another Arm Launches at samus. She does a back flip out of the way, but a second attack hits her to the ground.

Adam; Samus! I'm authorizing Missile Use!

After about 20 seconds, the creature is still at perfect health.

Adam: Concentrate fire in a single location and freeze that thing! And, Samus, you attack the frozen spot!

The soldiers all shoot at the left arm. It becomes frozen, attached to the ground. As the creature stuggles and flails with its other arm, Samus launches a missile at the frozen arm. The Arm explodes, disappearing. They then repeat for the second arm. With no arms left, the creature starts throwing itself against the walls, while the troops shoot its torso.

Once the torso is frozen,Samus prepares for a missile. But a second before that, the mass throws itself at Samus. Samus jumps off its head, and launches a missile from behind in midair.
Only the eye remains.

It flies towards samus, and with one shot,boom.

James;Whoo-Hoo! I'm feeling fine! But did it have to be bugs?

Adam goes towards samus, and taps the side of his visor, Opening it.

Adam;Looks like I'm going to need to ask for your cooperation on this mission. But... I'm also going to have to ask that you follow my commands. You don't move unless I say so. And you don't fire until I say so.

Samus flashes back to her federation days...

Adam(A Younger Voice,But still just as strict); Any Objections,Lady?

Samus; The "Thumbs up" sign had been used in the GF for ages.

Several troopers stand before Adam, each with one hand held in a thumbs-up position. Samus stands at the far end, and offers a bitter thumbs-down.

Samus; Me? I was known for giving the Thumbs down during briefing.
Commander Malkovich was normally cool and not one to joke around, but he would end all of his mission briefings by saying, "Any objections, Lady?"
He was joking, but others weren't... At the time I felt surrounded by people who treated me like a child or used kid gloves because I was a woman.
And yet, with Adam, I was grateful for the nod... My past has left me with an uneasy soul, and as a result, it touched me on some level that Adam would acknowledge that past by calling me something delicate—like "Lady." And I knew more than anyone that every word from Adam was deliberate. My thumbs-down was a twofold response—a sign of derision at being called a lady, and a signal of my complete understanding of the mission orders. The other soldiers were always willing to support me with easy smiles despite the fact that I clearly had so much yet to learn. Among them was Anthony.

Samus; Confession time. Because I was so young when I lost both of my parents, there's no question I saw Adam as a father figure.

Samus: And yet... When the time came, I still left his side. I was so young. Young and naive...


*Samus flashes back to the present.*

Adam: Exactly what transpired here on the BOTTLE SHIP is still uncertain. Here's what we do know: the equipment we thought had been destroyed is operational again, and we've seen casualties attributed to an unidentified and lethal creature. The situation is critical. We need to gather all the information we can, but priority one is to find any survivors and bring them to safety. Consider this site extremely dangerous. Be careful as you make your sweeps. And there's one problem.

*The troopers sharpen there attention*

Adam: The wireless interference in this facility is all-pervasive. Your comm systems are useless. As a result, communication channels will be limited to the facility's navigation booths.

Adam: Well then... Lyle! Investigate Sector 1. And show a little restraint with the explosives.

Lyle;Gotcha!

Adam: Maurice! You cover Sector 2. Repair any equipment you come across.

Maurice; Affirmative.

Adam: Anthony! You're Sector 3. I'll leave it to you to decide whether plasma guns are called for

Adam;All right!

Adam: James! Check out the Control Bridge. Our communication issues might be the result of electrical interference.

James;Yes Sir!

Adam: And, K.G.! Run a complete sweep of the residential quarters and investigate any trace of survivors.

K.G.;Got it!

Adam: Each of you is authorized to use a freeze gun. Do not forget to check in regularly via navigation booths. And, Samus. You go to the System Management room. Do everything you can to get the electrical system back up and running.

*Samus Nods.*

*Adam turns towards Samus*

Adam; It looks like your comm system is fully funtional.

Adam: Remember, everything you see will also appear on this screen. Regarding auxiliary weapons, the use of bombs has been authorized. As far as your other weapons go, we will continue to investigate and authorize use as we can.

Adam;Once the mission in the System Management room is complete, I need you to report back. I'll give you your next orders then.

Adam: I want you all to be especially careful as you execute your missions. That's the end of the briefing!

*The Troops give a thumbs-up sign*

*The troopers depart.*

Samus: Understood, Adam. No objections, of course.

I say! This is good. The only problem is... Can you make the font size on the previous chapters bigger? They appear to be illegible...
